Python and Perl

Two of the more commonly used scripting languages are python and perl. These tools are both incredibly powerful and learning them effectively would constitute a course on its own.

To learn some of the basic, we will make use of several on-line tutorials. Work through as much as you can, but most importantly you should be aware that these resources exist for future reference.
