                      open the "disk image", and read the instructions
                      in the "license_instructions" folder

 kinemage-linux       KineMage executable for Linux computers; linked
                      static, should run on most variants of Linux

 kinemage-b+t         tutorial files for use with KineMage; these files
                      cover the chapters of the Branden and Tooze book

 kinemage-teach |     these three directories contain KineMage tutorials
 kinemage-tour  |     gathered from various sources that cover different
 kinemage-demo  |     aspects of protein structure; try them out!

 rasmol-windows       RasMol executable and online help for Windows
                      computers

 rasmol-mac           RasMol for Macintosh as a binhex'd self-extracting
                      archive (download, and double click to unpack);
                      this is an OS 9 application, and will only run in
                      "Classic" mode on OS X machines

 rasmol-linux         RasMol executable and online help file for Linux
                      computers; should run on most Linux variants

 rasmol-pdb           various Protein Data Bank (PDB) files containing
                      protein structures discussed in class; these can
                      be viewed with the RasMol software; PDB files are
                      available from http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/

 pymol-windows.zip    PyMOL executable installation package for Windows
                      computers

 pymol-mac.tar.gz     MacPyMOL for Macintosh OSX as a gzipped tar archive;
                      download the file, ungzip it and untar it to create
                      the MacPyMOL application; this is a Universal app
                      and should run on all Macs with OSX Tiger or better

 pymol-linux.tar.gz   PyMOL executable for Linux computers as a gzipped
                      tar archive; should run on most Linux variants
